Hi everyone! I am Levi Cavener, a high school teacher living in Caldwell, Idaho. This will be my 11th year teaching, though this year will look very different at school than the previous decade.
I grew up in Meridian Idaho then attended University of Idaho where I earned my BS in Secondary Education. I returned to the Treasure Valley to teach and earned a M. Ed from Northwest Nazarene University.
I have taught special education, language arts, and currently social studies. But this year I am not sure what “teaching” will look like. I know I am not alone. Nearly every family has been impacted by school closures due to COVID-19. This podcast series is to explore how the coronavirus has already impacted schools, and what lies ahead for this academic year.
